Our Mission

------------

The Caislee Rylin Foundation was created to honor the life and legacy of our daughter, Caislee Rylin, and to walk alongside families who are facing the heartbreak of stillbirth, pregnancy after loss, and the unexpected journey of the NICU. We know this road intimately — the silence, the ache, the fear, the hope, the questions, and the deep longing to find steady ground again.

Our mission is simple but sacred: to provide heartfelt support, meaningful resources, and a safe, compassionate space for grieving families — reminding them they are not alone in this hard and holy journey.

At the heart of the Foundation is Caislee's Box, a lovingly curated memory box given to families in local hospitals at the time of loss. Each box is filled with beautiful, tangible items to honor their baby, hold their memories, and remind parents that their grief is seen, and their love is known.

But our support doesn't stop there. Through the Foundation, we offer two unique spaces for ongoing support:

The Caislee NICU Kit

We also recognize that many families, especially those pregnant after loss, face high-risk pregnancies and the overwhelming reality of the NICU. Through our NICU Support Program, we offer The Caislee NICU Kit — a comforting, practical collection of items created to support families through the one-step-forward, two-steps-back days of the NICU journey.

Rooted in Grace

Finally, through Rooted in Grace, we provide ongoing grief resources and gentle community for families long after they leave the hospital. From encouragement to practical tools, this space exists to help moms, dads, siblings, and families heal together and feel held in hope.

Together, Caislee's Box, The NICU Kit, and Rooted in Grace, reflect our deep desire to meet families right where they are: in the hospital, in their homes, and in the tender places where grief and hope intertwine.

You are not alone here. You are seen. You are loved. You are rooted in grace.

Our Story

------------

The story of the Caislee Rylin Foundation began with one of the most profound and life-altering experiences our family ever faced—the stillbirth of our beautiful daughter, Caislee Rylin. In a moment meant to be filled with joy, we were met with an overwhelming wave of grief and silence. Holding her, we experienced both an infinite love for her and the heartbreak of knowing she would never take her first breath in this world. Her absence was felt in every corner of our lives, and we quickly learned that navigating life after loss is a path filled with loneliness, unanswered questions, and unimaginable pain.

In the days following her passing, we sought ways to honor Caislee’s memory and create a space for her in our family’s story. We leaned on each other and those who had walked this journey before us. But we also realized how many families grieve in silence, without access to support systems, community, or the resources to begin healing. Through our pain, a purpose began to emerge—to ensure that no family has to walk this path alone.

The Caislee Rylin Foundation was born out of this desire to turn our sorrow into something meaningful. We strive to be a beacon of hope for grieving families. Our mission is simple but sacred: to provide heartfelt support, meaningful resources, and a safe space for grieving families — reminding them they are not alone in this hard and holy journey.

Caislee’s story is at the heart of everything we do. Though her time here was brief, her impact continues to ripple outward, inspiring us to bring light to families experiencing their darkest days. This foundation is her legacy, a way for us to hold onto her, celebrate her, and let her inspire healing in others. It’s a reminder that even in the face of profound loss, love can create something enduring, beautiful, and transformative.

Our Vision

------------

Our vision is to create a world where every family facing stillbirth, high-risk pregnancy after loss, or a NICU journey feels supported, resourced, and surrounded by compassion. We envision hospitals across the country equipped with Caislee Boxes and NICU Kits, ensuring no parent walks through these heartbreaking moments without comfort, dignity, and hope.

We dream of building spaces — both in person and online — where families can connect, heal, and grow together. Through Rooted in Grace, we aim to offer faith-filled encouragement, grief tools, and community for families navigating the lifelong journey of loss.

Above all, our vision is to honor Caislee’s legacy by bringing light into the darkest places, helping families carry their babies’ memories forward, and reminding them that even in the hardest chapters, they are held, they are loved, and they are never alone.

Our Beliefs

------------

God’s Presence in Grief
We believe that God is close to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18) and walks with us through our deepest sorrows. He is a refuge and source of peace, even in life’s most painful moments.

The Value of Every Life
Every child, no matter how brief their time on earth, is created in the image of God and has eternal value and purpose (Psalm 139:13-16). We honor the lives of these little ones and celebrate their significance in God’s kingdom.

The Power of Faith to Heal
We believe that God’s love and grace provide the strength to heal from the pain of loss. By leaning on His promises, we can find restoration and purpose through even the most profound grief.

Community and Compassion
God calls us to comfort others with the same comfort we have received from Him (2 Corinthians 1:3-4). We believe in the importance of community and creating a safe space for women to share, grieve, and grow together in faith.

Hope in Eternity
We trust in the promise of eternal life and the hope of being reunited with our loved ones in Heaven (John 14:2-3). This assurance sustains us as we journey through loss and points us toward the joy of God’s eternal plan.

The Power of Stillness
In moments of stillness and surrender, God speaks and provides clarity, peace, and strength (Psalm 46:10). We believe that being still before Him allows us to experience His presence in a transformative way.

Beauty from Ashes
We believe in God’s ability to bring beauty and purpose from pain (Isaiah 61:3). Through faith, grief can be redeemed into something that glorifies Him and helps others find hope.
